The Rochester, Minnesota area housing market, far from “going out like a lamb” had a solid showing in the last week of March with 65 new residential listings and 40 homes going under contract between March 23 and 29, 2012.
The new listings that came onto the market last week had an average asking price of $202,495; those going off under contract averaged $171,761 with an average of 134 days on the market. There were a dozen closings last week with an average sold price of $113,441, 97.9% of the asking price, 89.7% of the original list price. Average market time for these properties was 147 days.
There are currently 825 active residential listings in Rochester, Minnesota. These homes have an average list price of $211,984 and average 135 days on the market.
