The Rochester, Minnesota housing market plugged right along last week straight on through the Memorial Day holiday weekend. Closings were up, undoubtedly due in part to the end of the month. New residential listings outpaced homes going under contract to pending by just 25 percent.
Forty-two homes came onto the Rochester area market last week (May 25 to 31, 2012) with an average asking price of $192,240. There were 31 signed contracts last week with an average price of $210,937 and an average market time of 119 days. The 52 closings averaged just 79 days on the market and had an average sold price of $173,552.
There are currently 794 homes for sale in Rochester, Minnesota with an average price of $219,900 and an average of 129 days on the market.
