Real Estate Market Update for Rochester, Minnesota

With Independence Day behind us, Rochester, Minnesota area home sales and closings picked up again last week with 41% more homes going under contract than a year ago at this time and 22% more homes closing. New on the market listings remained steady year over year for the week of July 8 to 14.

The Rochester, Minnesota area real estate market saw 31 homes that went under contract in Rochester, Minnesota last week according to the Multiple Listing Service (MLS).  The average asking price for these homes was $203,247′ average market time was 193 days.

There were 45 new residential listings with an average list price of $211,952. The 22 homes that closed last week had an average sold price of $232,791, 96.5% of the asking price, 91.6% of the original list price. Average market time was 144 days.

There are currently 950 homes for sale in Rochester, Minnesota with an average asking price of $208,707 and an average market time of 164 days.
