Rochester, Minnesota Real Estate Housing Market — Monday Morning Market Update

The Rochester, Minnesota area real estate market kept moving right along through the holiday weekend with new listings and signed contracts in the first week of July down just over 10% compared to a year ago. There were 21  homes that went under contract in Rochester, Minnesota last week (July 1-7, 2011) according to the Multiple Listing Service (MLS).  The average asking price for these homes was $158,773, and they averaged 125 days on the market.

There were 33 new residential listings, with an average list price of $179,165. Last week 24 homes closed. Average sold price for these residential properties was $234,058, 95.1% of the asking price, 93.2% of the original list price. Average market time was 151 days.

There are currently 961 homes for sale in Rochester, Minnesota with an average asking price of $209,995 and an average market time of 171 days.
