According to the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) there are currently 1167 homes for sale in Rochester, Minnesota with an average list price of $222,709 (median $172,900) and an average of 147 days on the market. The volume of homes for sale last week (March 8-14, 2010) was up 10% over the same time period last year, with new listings, homes to pending, and homes sold staying fairly steady, according to the MLS.
There were 77 new listings last week and 11 that came back on the market with an average asking price of $193,995 (median $156,900) and $164,609 (median $163,500) respectively. Three listings were withdrawn, 7 cancelled, 6 expired, and 11 came back on the market.
The 33 pending listings last week had an average of 105 days on the market and an average list price of $165,559 (median $148,900). The 14 listings that sold (closed) last week had an average sold price of $146,357 (median $123,700), 95.7% of the original list price, 98.7% of the list price. These homes had an average market time of 160 days.
